A revision of an existing market, with an empathetic focus on user-interface.
This university project gave me an opportunity to take a product from initial concept all the way through to a completed prototype. Looking at existing methods of intravenously administering pain medication on a portable scale, all of the existing products were bulky, difficult to handle, or didn't exist in a form factor which allowed for easy stowing or carrying.
After conceptualization and CAD modeling the final iteration, I 3D printed the prototype to show full scale dimension and test it's fit against the body. The pump sits on the side of the torso at the waist line, and the printed prototype fitted comfortably in it's intended position.
